The Megavoltage Acceptance and Commissioning Service (MACS) is an independent organisation able to provide services, support and advice on the Purchase, Acceptance, Commissioning and Quality Control of X-ray and electron beam radiotherapy treatment machines.
On the 16th April 2013 the laser system at the Glasgow Small Animal Hospital was fully checked for its horizontal and vertical alignment as well as its registration with the machine isocentre and sagital and transverse orientation of the machine. Wall reference marks and a mechanical isocentre pointer were provided.
