The Megavoltage Acceptance and Commissioning Service (MACS) is an independent organisation able to provide services, support and advice on the Purchase, Acceptance, Commissioning and Quality Control of X-ray and electron beam radiotherapy treatment machines.
On the 5th June 2013 Commissioning of the 6MV Pencil Beam Convolution (PBC) model in the Eclipse Treatment Planning System at the Animal Health Trust was completed. Testing involved Monitor Unit calculation comparison with hand calculations and the comparison of modelled isocontours with directly measured isocontours.
