The Megavoltage Acceptance and Commissioning Service (MACS) is an independent organisation able to provide services, support and advice on the Purchase, Acceptance, Commissioning and Quality Control of X-ray and electron beam radiotherapy treatment machines.
During October 2013 the effect of a novel couch top on Dose Prediction and calibration of the CT scanner for electron density at the Animal Health Trust was completed. Testing involved comparison of dose prediction with and without the couch top and full assessment of HU value versus electron density.
