The Megavoltage Acceptance and Commissioning Service (MACS) is an independent organisation able to provide services, support and advice on the Purchase, Acceptance, Commissioning and Quality Control of X-ray and electron beam radiotherapy treatment machines.
On the 19th February 2014, at the Animal Health Trust the final recalibration of all the beams were completed taking into account long term downward drift, a systematic error in the local pressure measurement and implementation of new Calibration Factors, traceable through a Secondary Standard to the National Physical Laboratory.
